House League Development

West Mall runs 2 separate hockey development programs for its house league players.

For the beginning players ages 3 to 5, West Mall offers the Mite - Learn to Play Hockey program every Saturday in two sessions between 11:20 am and 1:15 pm. Children are grouped into one of these two sessions according to their abilities and then further divided into session sub-groups of similar skating ability. There are usually about 80 spots available each year for this program. Registration for this program is handled as part of normal house league registration. The second program for house league players 6 to 10 years old is our Player Development Program which is run on Saturday evenings from 6:45 to 7:45 at Pine Point arena.
